A little about KatKat has been a massage therapist in 4 states over the last 12 years of practice. She received her original training in Ohio, then worked in Chicago, Baltimore, and now Memphis. In that time, she had the opportunity to practice massage in many different environments including spas, chiropractor offices, physical therapy clinics, integrative medicine clinics and hospitals.
While living in Baltimore, Kat taught massage at a local school, worked with the UMB Center for Integrative Medicine, did lectures at the university as well as taught intro classes to the fourth year medical students, and opened Saille Healing Path, her private massage practice. Kat settled in Memphis, TN in 2010 (yes, settled) and brought Saille Healing Path with her. She practices clinical massage, specializing Oncology Massage and Manual Lymph Drainage, as well as pain management and injury reduction or prevention. She has taught business, aromatherapy, and research literacy for a local massage program in Memphis. Kat is a TN licensed massage therapist, a board certified massage therapist (NCBTMB), a certified aromatherapist through a course approved by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA), and a professional member of the Society for Oncology Massage (S4OM) and of the NAHA. She also has a Bachelor's In Business. Kat volunteers for the Chruch Health Center; as well as the PKD foundation whenever needed, as well. In addition, Kat serves the NCBTMB (National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork) as a volunteer on their Approved Provider Committee. And she was voted Best Natural Healing Center in the Natural Memphis Awards 2012. Many people would be surprised at the amount of strain our daily lives put on our bodies and how much we can help prevent this strain from building into injuries with simple treatments; such as massage.
